The curtain rang down on the regular season for the Calhoun Middle School
girls teams with a doubleheader loss to Braxton Middle School Wednesday
afternoon.
In the A game Braxton clobbered Calhoun 47-4 as Tiffani Huffman scored 15
points to lead the way. For Calhoun, which finished the regular season 0-14,
Karissa Reip and Kristen Ballengee led the way with two points apiece.
In the first game between the two teams Braxton posted a 73-5 win.
Calhoun lost the B game 25-6.
Amara Yoak led the way for Calhoun, 2-12, with three while Brooke Talley
added two and Danielle Little one.
Shelby Schwab led Braxton with 10.
Braxton jumped to a 14-0 lead at half and pushed it to 25-2 at the end of
three before Calhoun stiffened at cut the final margin.
Calhoun will play at Clay Middle School in the first round of the Central
West Virginia Athletic Conference Monday. The game is schedule for 6 p.m. at
Clay.
