| Leon Francis Stump, 74, of Leroy, West Virginia, formerly of Calhoun County, died February 3, 2005 at Roane General Hospital, Spencer.
He was born May 8, 1930 in Clarksburg, WV, a son of the late Ewell C. and Nora Rose Gross Stump. He was a former coal miner, a mechanic, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy A. Gribble Stump; six children, Francis, Leona, Patricia and Raymond all of Spencer, Leon Jr. of Elkins, WV, and Michael of Leroy; two sisters; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery Allen Stump; four brothers; and three sisters.
Services Sunday, February 6, 2005 at 7 p.m. at Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home, Spencer, with Bill Walton officiating. Visiting hours Sunday two hours prior to the services at the funeral home.
