CALHOUN WOMAN SERIOUSLY INJURED - Rash Of Accidents Sends Four To Hospitals

A Calhoun woman was seriously injured when she was ejected from her car after it crashed against a tree on Pleasant Hill yesterday. Rochelle Reddick, 19, the driver, suffered multiple injuries, including fractures, and was first taken to Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center in Grantsville and later transfered to Charleston Area Medical Center in Charleston.

Jason Conrad, 24, a passenger in the Reddick car was taken to Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center for treatment and was later admitted to a Charleston hospital.

Reddick's car was traveling south on Rt. 16, Pleasant Hill, near the intersection of Vaughan Road, when the vehicle reportedly went out of control as it went down a small hill.

The auto then struck a tree along the highway, throwing Reddick from the vehicle and came to rest several feet away in a yard.

Calhoun EMS, Minnie Hamilton Health Care ambulance and the Grantsville VFD responded to the accident shortly after 9 a.m. Sunday.

Sheriff Carl Ballengee is investigating.

Emergency services responded to a single-vehicle accident on Rt. 16, south of Chloe at 8 a.m. Monday with no injuries. Tropper 1st Class Jeff Hunt is investigating.
