MOUNDSVILLE COUPLE ENTOMBED - The decomposed bodies of a Moundsville couple were found Saturday in a makeshift tomb in the basement of their home.
Authorities say they've issued murder warrants for a man being held in an eastern Ohio jail.
Sheriff's Deputy Kevin Cecil says the bodies of Susan and Bill Coester, in their early 60s, were unearthed from a corner of their basement.
The bodies had numerous wounds. The state medical examiner's office will determine what those actually were.
Harold Mauss, who is being held in the Belmont County, Ohio jail on other charges, is being charged with first degree murder.
The bodies were placed in a corner of the basement. A wall was built around them with brick and concrete.
No motive has been given, but reports say Mauss may have lived with the Coesters before.
WHEELING WOMAN SENTENCED IN TRIPLE MURDER - A Wheeling area woman was sentenced for her role in a burglary that resulted in the alleged murders of a Triadelphia family.
Karen Sue Neider was sentenced in Ohio County Circuit Court yesterday to one to five years in prison for her part in the deaths of 54-year-old Bernard Conniff Junior; his wife, 50-year-old Deborah Conniff; and her 22-year-old son, Jonathan Noon.
The trio were shot to death in April, 2004.
STUDENT PACKS GUN TO SCHOOL - McDowell County School Superintendent Mark Manchin says a 16-year-old student allegedly brought a loaded gun to school. He has been suspended and faces expulsion from Mount View High School.
A McDowell County Sheriff's deputy found the 32-caliber firearm Thursday in the student's locker.
The sheriff's department says the student claimed he brought the gun for protection.
