Dr. Michael Boerger, an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Glenville State College, was found dead in his home on Friday, January 21.
Boerger joined the faculty at GSC in the fall of 2004. He came to GSC from Hiwassee College in Madisonville, Tennessee, where he served as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Social Sciences.
Prior to his time at Hiwasee College, Boerger spent time on the faculty of Pellissippi State Technical Community College in Knoxville, Tenn. and the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.
A graduate of Ohio State University, Boerger received a Bachelor of Arts in Photography and Cinema in 1983 and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 1985. He completed his Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology at the University of Tennessee in 1995.
Boerger is survived by his mother, Rose Boerger.
