Thousands of students are applying for Promise Scholarships, with the numbers continuing to rise.
With two months left before the applications are to be due, already 5,568 students have filled out their forms.
This year students have until the end of March to apply for the grant.
This year, they expect to surpass 2004's 8,300 applicants.
Students must receive a composite score of 21 on their ACTs and at least a 20 in all four subcategories. Not an easy feat.
Not all the applicants will meet the stiff standards. For those who do, the scholarship will help them pay for their college education. |
