COMMISSION WILL APPROVE GRANTSVILLE LEASE - Budget Concerns Linked To Jail Bill

The Calhoun Commission will approve a lease for the Town of Grantsville to use county property for town hall offices, during their meeting this morning at 9 a.m.

The town is currently using space in the county's old jail building.

The commissioners will meet with Jeff Small regarding financing a new ambulance for the county EMS.

An update will be given on the progress of the new 911-Calhoun Control center at Mt. Zion.

The commission will discuss budget concerns regarding increased costs of regional jail invoices.

Tim Meeks of the MOVRC will be present regarding the Yellow Creek-Back Fork water project.

The commission will approve a final agreement on a new walking trail for Wayne Underwood Field.

Other grant items to be discussed include a courthouse security grant, Little Kanawha RC & D grant and a Sister's of St, Joseph grant for Wayne Underwood Field.

Diane Ludwig will report for the L-K Development Corporation.

The commission will elect a president for 2005.

Other items include reviewing the Budget Control Report ending December 31, 2004, budget revisions, erroneous tax assessments, appointments to boards and committees, invoices, bonds, bills and wills.

Betty Price is on the agenda regarding the naming of a road.

Dates will be set for numerous meetings to be held in February when the commission acts as a Board of Equalization and Review.
