Theodore J. "Ted" Cantrell, 85, of Parkersburg, WV, died Tuesday, January 4, 2005, in Camden Clark Hospital, Parkersburg.
He was born October 29, 1919, at Clendenin, WV, a son of the late Frederick and Ethel Gandee Cantrell. He was a WWII Veteran and was retired from the Air National Guard, Charleston, WV.
Survivors include three daughters, Carla Walker of Parkersburg, Karen Dickerson of Davisville, and Jolynn Clute of Canton, OH; four sons, Allen Cantrell of Rockport, Timothy Cantrell and Teddy Cantrell, both of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, and Jack Cantrell of Clarksville, TN; four brothers, Mayford Cantrell, Gene Cantrell, and Bob Cantrell, all of Clendenin, and Tom Cantrell of Harrisburg, VA; five sisters, Ruby Miller of Charlotte, NC, Maysel of Clendenin, Dork Litton and Gladys , both of Charleston, and Opal Groves of Spencer; 18 grandchildren; 23 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie I. Cantrell; a son, Charles F. Cantrell, and two brothers.
A funeral service will be conducted Friday, January 7, at 2:00 p.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Michael F. "Mike" King officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Run Cemetery, Orma. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Friday.
