| Norman Ray Spears, 58, of Spencer, died Friday, December 17, 2004, in the Roane General Hospital, Spencer.
He was an Air Force veteran of the Viet Nam War.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Kay Spears of Spencer; two sons and daughter-in-law, Jason Kipp and Jokima Spears of Spencer and Darien Wilson Spears of Spencer; one brother, Gary Billings Spears of Spencer; one half sister, Cheryl Rena Head of Warren, OH; one sister-in-law, Shara Boggs of Reedy; two granddaughters, Jessie Shay and Jordan Starr Spears.
He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Spears; mother, Velda Greathouse Spears Tyree; and step father, Dub Tyree.
A funeral service will be conducted Monday, December 21 at 1:30 p.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Jeffrey T. Jett officiating. Burial, with military graveside rites, will be in the Clover Cemetery, Clover.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Monday.
