| An energy company operating out of St. Marys has been sold.
Arvilla Oilfield Services, formerly known as Arrow Oilfield Service Company, has been sold to oil and gas producer Trans Energy.
Trans Energy officials say the Arvilla agreement has been signed.
Arvilla, which employs 103 workers, will operate as a separate business. The merger goes into effect in January.
Arvilla has offices in St. Marys, Canton and Pleasantville, Pennsylvania, and also operates in Kentucky, Virginia and New York.
Trans Energy purchased 229 oil and gas wells in northern West Virginia from Irving, Texas-based Texas Energy.
