A civil suit has been filed in Calhoun over allegedly dumping sewage on another person's property. Nanette Sampson has filed the suit against her neighbor, Darrell Blake. Both have an Arnoldsburg address.
She is asking for $500 damages and court costs for what she calls a raw sewage problem.
Sampson has complained to the Mid-Ohio Valley Health Department that sewage is being dumped into a tributary of the West Fork. She claims sanitarian Marlan Zwoll has not responsive to the complaint, which was issued last summer.
However, Zwoll said "A permit has been issued to Blake for the construction of a new septic system," who indicated Blake is in the process of corrective action.
Stave Bayer, an administrator with MOVHD said "I understand the individual with the problem is trying to get a loan to complete a septic system."
