Lion's Club members prepare treats for kids who attend Friday's Christmas Parade
Courthouse is loaded with craft items for Christmas
Shoppers and visitors frequented the Calhoun courthouse yesterday, the opening day of Hometown County Christmas, a craft and gift show with lots of ideas for Christmas.
Thursday's hours are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday hours will be 9 a.m until 8 p.m. Visitors will be eligible for some major door prizes this year.
The Grantsville Lions Club has been at work preparing candy bags for Friday's visit from Santa Claus. Claus will arrive during the Christmas Parade which starts at 6 p.m.
Rev. and Mrs. Carroll McCauley will be parade marshals, which will include an appearance of the CMHS band.
The parade "floats" will be judged for 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes
of $50, $30, and $20, donated by Spencer Walmart.
The United Methodist Parish is helping organize Christmas caroling on the courthouse steps following the parade.
