Okey Lee Cottrell, 82, of Ivydale, West Virginia, passed into rest November 24, 2004 at his home surrounded by his family.
Born at Oka, he was a son of the late John and Glenna McGlaughlin Cottrell. He was a US Army Veteran of WWII and was the Pastor of the Mud Fork Union Church near Chloe, where he had served for 15 years. He had also pastored the Rush Fork Community Church and Groves Creek Community Church as well as many other area churches.
Surviving are his wife Alma Nellie Truman Cottrell; 3 daughters, Lois Cummings of Chloe, Kay Coleman of Ivydale, Terry Funk and her husband Danny of Ivydale; 4 sons, Lewis Cottrell and his wife Linda of Nebo, Roy Cottrell and his wife JoAnn of Martinsburg, Randy Cottrell and his wife Marsha and Ronnie Cottrell and his wife Betty all of Clay; one sister, Dorma (Toots) Mollohan of Servia; 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, November 27 at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg. Rev. Darius Arnold will officiate. Interment will be in the Coen Cemetery at Nebo.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday. |
