Christmas is coming to Spencer with the annual Spencer Christmas Parade, to be held at 5 p.m. on December 3rd.
The Ladies of The Red Hat Society will be caroling around the court house starting at 4 p.m. in Victorian costumes.
The Roane County Committee on Aging in cooperation with the local Chamber of Commerce, and Roane Arts and Humanities Council will host the children's Christmas Party at The Gallery on Court Street (behind the court house).
Santa Claus will make an appearance to kick off the Christmas Season.
There will be cookies, and hot chocolate and photos with Santa.
Christmas Villages on display include a large Snow Christmas Village by Judy Dillon, a train with a farm village, a hand carved wooden Nativity Scene by Mr. Steve Cooper and a antique Nativity Scene by Dorothy Rhoads.
The Gallery also has a large Christmas Tree decorated by Judy Dillon and Sue Steele.

The Gallery will host an open house and art sale from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served. Works of local artists will be featured.
