Dr. Azita Misaghi, a native of Pakistan, spoke to Calhoun High students during International Education Week.
Dr. Misaghi was born in Pakistan and moved to Charleston at the age of 15. She shared homemade almond brittle and stories of life in Pakistan. She gave examples of the Urdu language, which uses a different alphabet than English.
Dr. Misaghi practices dentistry in Charleston and is the mother of three children.
