A Calhoun County school bus was involved in a minor accident on narrow Crummies Creek Road yesterday shortly after 4 p.m.
There were no injuries, although another bus was called to transport the children home.
There was very minor damage.
School administrator Donnie Pitts said a van met the school bus and was unable to "squeeze by," wedging against it.
"The bus came to a halt or near-halt before the collision happened," said Pitts.
The bus was identified as No. 20, driven by Joe Taylor.
The accident happened about one mile up Crummies Creek off State Route 16.
Police investigated the accident.
