Geraldine Hallie Morris Shaffer, 77, of Stumptown, West Virginia died Saturday, November 13, 2004 at 4 a.m., at her home, after a short illness.
She was born at Servia, Braxton County, a daughter of the late Moses and Bessie Jarvis Morris.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Shaffer of Stumptown, one son, Bernard Ice Morris and wife Kathy; step sons, Melvin Harold Shaffer and William Shaffer; step daughter, Thelma Colleen Shaffer; two grandchildren, Michelle Renee Motto and Douglas James Morris both of Stumptown; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; one brother, Paul Morris of Fayetteville and one half sister, Louise Holcomb of Ohio.
She was preceded in death by five brothers, Thurl, Arlis, Harold, David and Burley Morris and one sister, Pauline Vanhorn.
She was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church of Stumptown. She will be sadly missed by family. friends, neighbors and the members of her church. She lived her life always loving others.
Funeral services will be held at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, Stumptown, on Tuesday, November 16, at 1 p.m. Interment will be in the Collins Community Cemetery, Stumptown.
Family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
