Homer Tucker, 83, of Sand Ridge, Calhoun County, died Thursday, May 10th. at Louis A. Johnson Veterans
Administration Medical Center, Clarksburg, WV.
Born in Calhoun County he was a son of the late Ed and Susie Gay Nichols Tucker. He was U.S. Army Veteran
of WW II, was a farmer, timberman and oil field worker.
Surviving are his wife, Bonnie Schartiger Tucker and two sons, Donald Tucker of Tanner, WV and Ronald
Tucker of Smithville, Ohio; two daughters, Lola Jean Butler of Orrville, Ohio and Opal Harris of Grantsville; three
brothers, Euell Tucker of Arnoldsburg, WV, Paul and Ottis Tucker both of Brewster, Ohio; two sisters, Pearl
Shock of Brewster and Ruby McCumbers of Palestine, WV; ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, at 1 p.m. at Orma United Methodist Church, Orma, WV. Reverend
Robert Shannon will officiate. Interment will be in the Orma Cemetery. Friends may call at Stump Funeral
Home, Arnoldsburg from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. |
