Margaret A. Dooley, 72, of Burning Springs passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2004, at her home following an extended illness.
She was born August 8, 1932, in Jackson County, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Albert and Grace Hinzman Carmichael. She was a 1950 graduate of Gilmore High School and a member of Burning Springs WSCS since 1963. She was a long-time member of the Burning Springs United Methodist Church and was a member of VFW Post 6608, where she served as treasurer from 1987 until 2001. She had been a volunteer for the Hope Shop for many years.
She is survived by three sons, David and Tonda Dooley of Elizabeth, Keith and Sabrina Dooley of Burning Springs and Kevin Dooley of Burning Springs; four daughters, Barbara Dooley of Parkersburg, Nancy and Jack Smarr of West Union, Sandra Dooley of Palestine and Sharon Dooley of Parkersburg; three brothers, Ralph and Ruth Carmichael of Ravenswood, Glen and Phyllis Carmichael of Streetsboro, Ohio, and Joe and Wanda Carmichael of Parkersburg; sister, Pearl Kessinger of Parkersburg; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, John W. Dooley, in 1981; three brothers, Robert, Dale and Fred Carmichael; two sisters, Maxine Emerick and Delma Wilcox; and one grandchild, James Michael Dooley.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, October 15 at the Busch-Kimes Funeral Home of Elizabeth with the Rev. Farley Blankenship officiating.
