| David H. Boothe, 65, of Mt. Zion, West Virginia, went to be with his Lord and savior on Wednesday, October 13, 2004 at his residence surrounded by his family.
He was born at Milo on April 11, 1939 to the late Brooks and Sylvia Starcher Boothe.
He was retired form the Calhoun County Board of Education, serving 30 years as a bus driver and mechanic and was also in the oil fields in Calhoun County.
He was survived by his former wife and friend, Mary Boggs Boothe, one daughter, Drema Gilbreath and fiancé Gary Knight of Fairmont; four sons and their wives, Kevin and Elsie Boothe of Seagrove, NC, Dana and Janet Boothe of Asheboro, NC, Dan and Kristy Boothe of Beckley, and Jason and Renita Boothe of Randleman, NC; six grandchildren whom he adored more than anything, Justin McCumbers, Adam Gilbreath, Brittney Boothe, Travis and Alex Boothe and Toby Knight.
Also surviving are four sisters, Fay Williams of Newark, Marie Wine of Parkersburg, Norma Fridley of Vienna and Sandy Nestor of Davisville; four brothers, Denzil, Ronzil and Donzil Boothe of Grantsville and Carl Boothe of Smithville; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, Saturday, October 16 at 2 p.m. Rev. Kevin Church will officiate. Interment will be in Sycamore Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. |
