Democrat Carl Shaw was manning the newly opened Democrat Headquarters in Grantsville yesterday. "We hope folks will stop by and get some literature and signs," said Shaw.
"This is a really critical election for America's working people and middle class," he said. "We are hopeful that John Kerry will be the next president."
"It is an election that has lots of people focused on issues that concern them, but they are not the primary issues in the campaign," he said.
Calhoun Democrat's will come together for a covered dish dinner Saturday, October 23 beginning at 12:30 at the Arnoldsburg Community Building.
The movie Fahrenheit 9-11 will be shown after the meal.
