A donated food project at Calhoun Middle-High School will conclude Friday.
The students and staff are participating in a school-wide community service project - "Stuff the Turkey."Â
The purpose of the project is to demonstrate that the students and staff of Calhoun Middle-High School care about the community.
There is a large trash can decorated as a turkey at the front door and at the rear entrance that students and staff are asked to fill with canned foods and other non-perishable food items.
The food will be donated to local food pantries. From there, it will be distributed to local families.
Donations are needed for this project.
