| An elderly Clay County woman died in a fire early yesterday morning in the Town of Clay.
The woman, reportedly about 80, died about 4 a.m. in a building close to the ambulance squad.
Officials with the state fire marshal's office were on the scene most of yesterday.
The woman's identity has not been released.
