About 100 outraged Clay County residents turned out to a community meeting
last night at Clay High School to vent their frustration on a growing crime
problem in the area.
Many of the citizens told elected officials and local law enforcement they are
going to take control of crime into their own hands - vigilante justice.
Citizens have been up in arms over the amount of criminal activities going on
in the county.
The Clay Communicator quoted one lady who said there are more crank
houses in the county than church houses.
The Clay County Sheriff's Department has suffered some recent cutbacks.
