(2004)Marlene Vineyard of Arnoldsburg killed this coyote
after it came in a field behind her barn. She spotted
the coyote in the middle of the day, watching some
cattle that was in a nearby field. The animal appeared
not to be afraid of her presence. The number of coyotes in the area appear to be increasing, in fact, one of Vineyard's neighbors had coyotes enter a dog pen last year and kill some puppies.
