Twice a year, the Calhoun County Extension office, in conjunction with its Volunteer Leaders Association and 4-H clubs, promotes a "Truckload Frozen Food Sale."
Proceeds from the sale go toward the 4-H Camp Fund, which provides scholarships for Calhoun County youths to attend 4-H County Camp.
For many children attending 4-H Camp without the availability of a camp scholarship would not be possible. Your purchases provide you with an opportunity to stock up on a variety of bulk frozen fruits and vegetables, and helps youth experience a great Calhoun County 4-H tradition.
4-H Camp is a week of leadership, self-discipline, organized activities and sharing.
To place an order; please call the Extension Office for an order form and we will drop one in the mail to you; complete the order form and mail by October 12, 2004 to Calhoun County Extension Service, PO Box 680, Grantsville, WV 26147.
An individual placing an order is responsible for picking up the order on October 29, 4 to 6 p.m., at Dominion (CNG) intersection/old CCHS , Rt. 16, in Grantsville.
