| More job losses are hitting Kanawha County, following announced closings last week which affected several hundred workers.
Dow Chemical Company says it plans to close a specialty ketones plant by the end of the year.
The South Charleston plant produces chemicals used to manufacture products such as animal feed supplements and herbicides.
They did not say how many workers will be affected by the plant's shutdown, but said they are among more than 160 job cuts the company had announced in August.
Officials cited declining revenues and poor market conditions, but labor leaders said the products are being manufactured abroad.
