| Howard T. Dye, 96 of Chloe, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord August 29, 2004.
Born in Calhoun County, he was a son of the late Dr. J.A. and Cora Groggs Dye. He was a member of New Life Baptist Fellowship Church of Arnoldsburg. He was a former employee of Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company with 20 years service and was a former home building contractor. He was a well known wood artist.
Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Losie Lamb Dye and a son Jack Dye of Medina, Ohio; one sister, Eva Joy of Williamstown, WV and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sisters, Kate Knotts, Jane Drake, Mary Smith, Anna Nichols, Sophia Reynolds and brothers, Harry, Lance and James Dye.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg. Rev. Jim Dial will officiate. Interment will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery, Grantsville.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service.
