Frona Munday Fox, 99, a resident of the Cedar Grove Personal Care Home and former resident of Elizabeth, died early Friday morning, Aug. 27, 2004, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
Born at Industry, W.Va., she was a member of the Strait Creek Baptist Church, where she had been the Sunday school secretary/treasurer for many years. She had been a clerk at the Brohard Post Office and was the owner of the N.G. Bush Grocery Store from 1949 until her retirement in 1965. Mrs. Fox loved gardening and sewing. She especially like making quilts. She was also past president and secretary of the Brohard Goodwill Club.
Surviving are Mike, Karen, Serena and Devin Cooper of Brohard, Karen Mathers and Patty Baker of Washington and Leona Mills, Alice Snider and Shirley Cooper of Parkersburg. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and step grandchildren.
Among those preceding her in death are two husbands, Frank Munday and K.W. "Buzz" Fox; a son, Frank Munday Jr.; and her foster mother, Victoria Belt.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Busch-Kimes Funeral Home of Elizabeth. The Rev. William P. Snider will officiate with burial in the Hartley Cemetery. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. today and noon until time of service Sunday at the funeral home.
