MAN SHOT AT GO-MART - A Kanawha County man was shot at a Go-Mart in North Charleston yesterday afternoon, the latest of several shootings in the area.

Lloyd Donald "Donnie" Skeens III, 27, of Big Tyler Road was shot in the torso, He is in ICU AT Charleston Area Medical Center.

A young man driving a white Oldsmobile is the suspect. The car has tinted windows and a large decal of the letter M in its rear window, according to Charleston Police Lt. Brent Webster.

The Go-Mart videotape shows Skeens and his brother drove up to a gas pump in a Ford pickup truck around 3:45 p.m.

A white Oldsmobile pulled up to a nearby pump. Skeens walked over to the Oldsmobile and traded words with someone inside. Then there was a gunshot and Skeens staggered into the Go-Mart and collapsed.

Police would not speculate about a motive.

Skeens was accused of armed robbery in April.

While Skeens was shot, a local radio station was sponsoring a "walk for peace" on Charleston's East End. It was a response to a flurry of shootings in the area.

ARREST MADE IN PROSTITUTE'S MURDER - Police have made an arrest in their investigation into the death of a Cabell County woman who not long before she was killed told a TV reporter she worked as a prostitute to earn money for drugs.

Rafelle Harris, 24, a suspected crack dealer, was arrested by US Marshals last night at a residence in Detroit.

Police believe Harris was the trigger man in the shooting of 31-year-old Wendy Morgan.

Morgan's body was found July 28th on a Huntington sidewalk. She'd been shot in the neck.
