The Calhoun Head Start program is an opportunity for pre-school age children to participate in a developmentally appropriate program that includes medical, dental, nutritional, and social services to the family.
Both Center-based and Home-based options are available.
The Center-based program offers a six-hour day, four days each week. Transportation could be available. Two hot meals and an afternoon snack are provided, free of charge.
The Home-based program offers a 90-minute home visit each week and two days of center socialization each month.
Both Center-based and Home-based Head Start are taking applications for 3 and 4 years.
All Head Start services are provided, without charge, to all eligible children. For more information, contact 354-6594.
The Home-base office has moved from Arnoldsburg to Grantsville on 70 School Street close to the old High School.
