A Clay County family has issued hundreds of fliers and authorities have scoured the countryside trying to locate a missing Clay man.
A neighbor last saw Roy Junior McDaniel, 76, backing out of his driveway August 7.
The elder McDaniel drives a white 1992 four-door GMC Jimmy 4x4 with handicap license No. 293-73. The vehicle has left and right front fender damage.
McDaniel is a diabetic with high-blood pressure and arthritis in both knees and has been recovering from a mild stroke.
Family members say McDaniel is a WWII Marine Corps veteran and suffers from mild dementia. "My father does know who he is and where he is from," said his son.
State Police troopers in Clay County are conducting their search for McDaniel in that county because he traveled very little.
A nationwide lookout for McDaniel has been posted with the National Crime Information Center.
Anyone seeing McDaniel should call 911 or the State Police.
