Sergeant Bobby Beasley of Inwood, an Army National Guardsman killed in Afghanistan
over the weekend, was described as a fun-loving outdoorsman who joined the
Navy out of high school and served in Desert Storm.
He is one of three WV National Guardsmen killed in Iraq or Afghanistan in the
past few days.
There have been 1,054 coalition deaths in Iraq, 932 Americans, 63 Britons, 19
Italians, 11 Spaniards, seven Poles, seven Ukrainians, six Bulgarians, one
Salvadoran, three Slovaks, two Thai, one Dane, one Dutch, one Estonian, one
Hungarian, one Latvian, as of August 9, 2004.
