A Grantsville man Jeremy Collins, 21, will go on trial today in the Circuit Court
of Calhoun before Judge David Nibert. Collins has also been charged with
several counts of forgery and several counts of uttering in Calhoun Magistrate
Court.
He is being represented by Spencer attorney Drew Patton.
Collins was arrested in Roane County last year, after being suspected of
uttering a $500 check at the First National Bank on April 30.
He was charged with forgery, uttering and obtaining money under false
pretenses, according to Roane County Magistrate records.
Records indicate Collins obtained a checkbook belonging to Danny Harper, and
passed several checks in Calhoun and Roane Counties.
