The 18th Annual Little Kanawha Road Run and Fun Walk will take place on
Saturday, August 14th, 2004.
Registration opens at 7 a.m.; the Race &
the Walk begin at 8:30 a.m.
The race will begin and end at the Wirt County
4H Fairgrounds, Camp Barbe. The fairgrounds are located on Camp Barbe Road,
off Rt. 14, North of Elizabeth.
The racecourse is a scenic winding 5K loop;
water will be available along the course for participants, and refreshments
will be available at the finish line.
Trophies will be awarded to both Male and Female 1st and 2nd place finishers in
nine Age Divisions, for both the Road Run & Fun Walk. There will also be
1st, 2nd, & 3rd Place Overall Awards for both Men & Women. T-Shirts will be
provided to all who pre-register, courtesy of Wesbanco Elizabeth.
Entry fee is $12, both for pre-registration and for race-day entry. This
fee includes full-day admission to the Wirt County Fair, including carnival
rides. Entry forms must be postmarked by August 7, 2004 to be guaranteed a
T-Shirt.
Entry forms are available at local fitness locations and sporting goods
stores. The entry form is available online at www.littlekanawha.com in
printable form. Entry forms should be mailed to PO Box 799, Elizabeth, WV
26143.
The race is part of the 2004 River Cities Runners Walk / Run Series.
