After years of high cost rates for flying out of Charleston's airport - there is
good news.
Independence Airlines, the first low-fare airline to serve West Virginia, had their
first flights out of the capitol city yesterday.
The flight to Dulles International in DC was filled at a $39 rate one-way.
The new low-fare service with six round-trip flights daily will make the
Charleston area more marketable.
None of the one-way flights out of the airport exceed $100.
