John Dale Ferguson, 68, of Glasgow died April 22, 2001, in St. Francis
Hospital after a long illness.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, a retired state policeman and
safety director for Mountain Trucking. He was also the owner of JD Hauling
and worked as an investigator. He was a Christian. He was a member of Eureka
Lodge No. 40 AF&AM and the Scottish Rite.
He is survived by: wife, Gloria Ferguson; daughter, Tammy Canterbury of
Hurricane; son, John K. Ferguson of Hurricane; grandchildren, Nick and Lori
Canterbury of Hurricane; parents, Jack and Ernestine Ferguson of Grantsville;
sisters, Virginia Ice of Pittsburgh, Pa., Betty Salisbury of St. Albans; many
nieces and nephews.
Service will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday, April 26, at Cooke Funeral Home, Cedar
Grove. Burial will be in Nobe Cemetery, Nobe, with graveside rites by Eureka
Lodge No. 40.
Friends may call one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
