Gladys R. Johnson, 87, formerly of Williamstown, died July 17, 2004, in New Port Richey, Fla.
She was born Feb. 19, 1917, in Freed, W.Va., a daughter of the late Jacob M. and Ola Shimmer Snider. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church, Williamstown.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda L. Gannon of Tarpon Springs, Fla., and Judith A. Williams of New Port Richey; a brother, Martin J. Snider of Parkersburg; two sisters, Bernice Kral of Lee Summit, Mo., and Lela Mathess of Columbus, Ohio; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William R. Johnson; four sisters, Lottie Belt, Cokie Clayton, Elsie Wilson and Olive Snider; and two brothers, Willard and Dennis Snider.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Vienna, with Pastor James E. Shepherd II officiating. Entombment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Mausoleum. Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
