| Zanic Richards Yost, 89, of Smithville, West Virginia, formerly of Big Springs passed away Sunday, July 18, 2004 at her home.
She was born July 31, 1914 at Big Springs, a daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth Modesitt Richards. She was a member of the Chestnut Grove United methodist Church. She owned and operated the Yost Grocery at Big Springs for many years.
Mrs. Yost is survived by two sons, Robert and wife Julie Yost of Smithville, with whom she made her home, and Arthur and wife Emma Yost of Amesville, Ohio; four grandchildren, Keith, Kevin, Calvin and Angie; six great grandchildren Brianna Yost, James Yost, Morgan Yost, Wyatt Durban, Caleb and KC Yost; several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Denver Yost; four brothers, Earl, Carl, JC and Charles Yost; two sisters, Mamie Frederick and Amy Ward; and two great grandchildren, Arick and Mickel Yost.
Funeral services will be held at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville on Thursday, July 22, 2004 at 2 p.m.Rev. Carroll McCauley will officiate. Interment will be in Big Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.
