Friends recall school days at Senior Center event
Calhoun County once had over 100 one-room schools during the first part of
the last century, with some of them expanding to two, three and four
rooms.
This weekend there was a school reunion for the mostly forgotten schools -
Upper Rush Run, Fairview, Union and Russett.
About forty former students and their families gathered at the Grantsville
Senior Center to look at old pictures, share memories and enjoy a
luncheon.
The Upper Trace and Nobe School reunion was also held at the Nobe
Community Building Saturday.
