Glennis Ash, 91, of Spencer, West Virginia died June 25, 2004, at Roane General Hospital in Spencer.
He was born June 10, 1913, in Calhoun County, a son of the late James Jerome and Castena Virginia Marks Ash.
He retired from Monarch Rubber Company as a supervisor. He attended the Leatherbark Community Church.
He is survived by one daughter, Loretta Russell of Clover, West Virginia; two sons, Lawrence and Bob Ash, both of Spencer; three half sisters, Barbara Marks and Frances Tanner, both of Arnoldsburg, West Virginia, and Nancy Starcher of Big Springs, West Virginia; 10 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dessie Price Ash in 1994; three sisters, Ila Church, Evelyn Townsend and Melva Snyder; and five brothers, Cecil, Harley, Dennis and two infants.
Services will be held 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 27, at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Leon Strickland officiating. Burial will be in the Clover Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.
