It was Calhoun's second ramp dinner of the year yesterday at
the Minnora Community Center. And quite a spread it was. A
long table with ramps and all the county delicacies, self-serve
on a long buffet table. As usual, the crowd came from far and
wide, including several from Kanawha County who read the
ramp diggin' story in The Charleston Daily Mail (SEE Hur Herald
4/20)
The dinner is a fundraiser for the Minnora Community Center,
according to President Wanda Richards."We sold bunches of
cleaned ramps to go, in plastic bags," she said. "It was hard
work getting them. It even snowed in the mountains."
