Raymond C. Belt, 75, passed away in Tuscon, Arizona, May 7, 2004 surrounded by his loving family.
He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving from 1949 until 1952. He was a retired member of the operating Engineers Local # 18 and was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 10188 and the American Legion in West Virginia. His sense of humor and helping hands will be missed by all.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Phyliss Nicholas Belt and children, Jennifer (Ken) Albert, Raymond C. (Laura) Belt, Jr., and Tina Neal. grandchildren, Nicholas (Mandy) Albert, Valerie Albert, Michael J. and William Neal, and Josh Peistrup; great grandchildren, Michael Bradley and Zoe R. Albert; sisters, Marlene (Chuck) Lewis and Jean (Jack) Bush.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, June 19, 2004 at 1 p.m. at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, WV. Rev. Davis Bush will officiate. Interment will be in the Saunders Cemetery at Big Springs. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to a charity of choice. Military graveside rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 21 of Spencer. |
