Jake Krack and friend Ashley Deweese attend opening party at
McIntosh Mansion in Spencer
Calhouner Jake Krack was one of several hundred folks who attended the
premiere yesterday of "The Captives," a locally made film about the life of Mary
Draper Ingles who was captured by the Shawnees in 1755.
Krack's fiddle music was used throughout the film.
The first showing was held Saturday at the Robey Theater in Spencer, followed
by a reception at the McIntosh Mansion.
Krack, who is attending Berea College, is back on the fiddling circuit since
school is out.
He just won the fiddle contest at the 33rd Mt. Airy Fiddlers
Convention in Mt. Airy N.C. This is the second time Jake has won the contest in
the past three years. Jake has a new double CD called Second Time
Around."
