Authorities arrested a Henry's Fork man last week and charged him with possession of a controlled substance, grand larceny and joy riding.

Walter "Hog Man" Singleton, 36 (pictured left), whose address is Arnoldsburg, is being held in Central Regional Jail.

Singleton, who resides on Little Letherbark near the Calhoun-Roane line, was reportedly being pursued by authorities in what was originally reported as a stolen vehicle from Gilmer County.

During the search, he was described as armed and dangerous.

Sgt. Tom Yanero, among the five officers at the scene, allegedly found a white powder which was identified as cocaine. Conservation Officer John Apgar cited Singleton for littering.

Chief Deputy Carl Ballengee and Deputy Ron Bandy, along with Trooper 1st Class Jeff Hunt also responded to the incident.
