Georgia Ann Carper, 67, of Amma, Roane County, West Virginia, died Saturday, May 29, 2004, in the Hubbard
Hospice House, Charleston, after a brief illness.
She was born August 7, 1936, at Amma, a daughter of the late Robert Fleming
and Elizabeth Hively Carper. In addition to her parents, she was preceded
in death by a nephew, Johnny William Lowe.
Georgia was a self-employed abstractor. She was a 1954 graduate of Spencer
High School and a lifelong resident of Roane County. She had attended the
Bethel Baptist Church, Amma.
Survivors include one sister and brother-in-law, Jewell and the Rev. John W.
Lowe of Spencer; nephews and nieces, John S. and Freda Smith Lowe of
Freeland, MI, and David L. and Donna Johnson Lowe of Clendenin; one grand
nephew, John David Lowe of Clendenin; one grand niece, Elizabeth Dawn Lowe
of Clendenin; special friends, Tommy and Susan Carper of Pinch, and Alvin
Engelke of Creston.
A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, June 2 at 11:00 a.m. in the
John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Michael F. "Mike" King
officiating. Burial will be in the Amma Cemetery, Amma.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday.
