The Upper West Fork Bluegrass Festival survived an onslaught of flood water this
past week to still deliver the community event.
Thunderstorms and rain showers
put the West Fork River out of banks, flooding the festival grounds.
Several campers had to be moved during the early morning hours and at least
one had to be towed through the muddy water. The campers were relocated on
higher ground.
The musical groups shifted from the performance area to the park building and
the show went on as planned.
There was even some sunny skies Saturday.
The next big event will be the Firemen's Bluegrass Festival in August.
