It was a night of honors, salutes and scholarship announcements at Calhoun Middle-High School Thursday evening. Students from around the county, elementary, middle school and high school came forward to be recognized.
Superintendent Ron Blankenship welcomed the students and parents to the 21st Annual Academic Awards. "We honor not only the students, but their parents who have invested their time in helping make it happen," he said.

Dozens of scholarships were issued during the awards ceremony.
