Goldie M. Hall, 84, of Pocatalico, W.Va., died April 16, 2001, at the
University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington, after a short
illness.
She was born Jan. 3, 1917, in Calhoun County, W.Va., a daughter of the
late Issac and Emily Starcher McKown.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, George Hall, and
by seven brothers.
She was a graduate of Calhoun High School and she obtained her
master's degree in education from Morris Harvey College. She was a
retired teacher from the Kanawha County Board of Education's public
school system.
Survivors: caregivers, Larry and Barbara Anderson of Pocatalico;
several nieces and nephews.
Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, April 19, at Long & Fisher Funeral
Home, Pocatalico, with the Rev. Terry Dean and Mrs. Murdayne Blosser
officiating. Entombment will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories
Mausoleum, Pocatalico.
