A Calhoun juvenile associated with the Groves-Hicks double murder will be tried
as an adult, the case likely to be presented to a Calhoun Grand Jury this
month.
Ronnie Rush, who was 16-years-old when the murders occurred, reportedly told
authorities he was held at gunpoint and made to watch the shootings.
The murders occurred one year ago on May 15th.
Judge Thomas Evans III found probable cause yesterday for Rush to be tried as
an adult.
The order will allow evidence against Rush to be made public.
Groves and his ex-wife Hicks were shot to death at close range by shotgun
blasts.
